Professional Background
I am a Canadian security strategist, consultant, and author with more than two decades of frontline experience in high-risk environments. Since 2006, I have accumulated approximately 50,000 hours of operational work, spanning security leadership, crisis response, industrial operations, and training development. My work is built on what I have earned and learned in real conditions, not classroom theory.
I specialize in strategic security operations, SOP development, risk management, and crisis preparedness for organizations operating where mistakes carry real consequences. My focus is simple: reduce risk, improve decision-making under pressure, and professionalize security practices so they actually work in the field.
Earned Experience, Not Theory
My career began on the front lines in hospitality and nightlife, where I learned early that presence alone does not prevent incidents. Systems do. Training does. Judgment does.
I later founded and operated Dinunzio Protection Services from 2016 to 2019, scaling the company to over 150 personnel across healthcare facilities, retail environments, shelters, and major public events. That role required constant balancing of liability, human behavior, policy, and real-time decision-making under stress.
Beyond private security, I have worked in the Alberta energy sector as a derrick-hand and wireline operator, held leadership roles in demolition and industrial environments, and operated in settings where safety, fatigue management, and procedural discipline are non-negotiable. This cross-sector exposure informs how I design security systems today.
What I Do Now
Today, I operate as CDN Security Consultant, where I advise organizations, security leaders, and professionals on:
• Security risk assessments and operational audits
• SOP design and implementation
• Incident response and crisis planning
• Training and Security program development
• Mentorship for security professionals and supervisors
I am a Security Risk Management Professional – Country Level (SRMP-C) and a Situational Awareness Specialist – Advanced Practitioner (SAS-AP®). I am also a registered United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) vendor (ID #1109185), meeting international vetting standards for security and risk professionals.
Author and Instructor
I write and teach to raise standards in an industry that too often relies on minimum compliance.
Available on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited.
As an instructor, I deliver bespoke training in security and protection operations. My methodology focuses on clarity, accountability, and performance under stress.
My Operating Philosophy
Security is not about optics.
It is about timing, judgment, systems, and restraint.
Most failures I have seen were not caused by lack of effort, but by tolerance for weak training, unclear procedures, and poor leadership. My work exists to close that gap.
Engagement and Contact
Organizations and security leaders seeking to enhance operational readiness, mitigate risk, and improve performance under pressure may initiate a professional inquiry.
